확률 (hwak-nyool) – probability/chance/likelihood
This word is pretty similar to 가능성, which essentially has the same meaning.
Examples:
나 모든 할일은 성공 확률 별로 없는 경우에도 노력해서 사장님은 날 좋아해.
I would put in my very best for everything I do even in situations where there isn’t much probability of succeeding so my boss likes me.
도박은 이기는 확률이 너무 적어서 진짜 좋아하지 않아.
The probability of winning gambles is really low so I don’t like it.
